<Vlad> scribenick: jpamental

Vlad giving Jason a quick primer on scribing

Vlad having trouble getting a web fonts account for the group to use, so instead putting a shared drive fonts to be made available to those who need it (including a selection of Asian language ones)

So far access has been given to Myles Garret and Ned

Vlad includes about 4 dozen composite fonts with lots of layout features

Garret the goal of subsetters is to work with composite fonts, but it will be good to spot-check with this group of fonts to be sure

Vlad you can ignore any font files with CCC ending (those fonts quite different from TTF, so outside what we need to focus on)

Garret working on analysis broken out by language from the larger dataset, and will work on testing the subsetting of the composite Asian TTF fonts

<Vlad> close action 218

Myles still working on contributing the app I showed to the repository; still working on some of the features. No updates on compression yet.

<Vlad> trackbot, close action-218

<trackbot> Closed action-218.

Myles not sure about the last action item about web crawl data corpus, but seems like this action can be closed for now (since both Myles and Garret have data sets to work on)

<myles> trackgot, close action-220

<myles> trackbot, close action-220

<trackbot> Closed action-220.

Vlad what's a reasonable timeframe for next milestones?

Myles seems reasonable to meet in 2 weeks, but not sure how much I'll get done

Vlad We seem to be on target for finishing our analysis, but want to set realistic deadlines

Vlad when we renewed the charter, there was one objection about the length of the charter being 4 years. We want to make sure we have our initial report done by the intermediate deadline (2 years in)

Vlad reminder that we'll have to update our zoom link with password sometime soon. Will keep the group posted on timing and method for password distribution
