Erik: Why is refresh done per model?

Steven: Good question.

Erik: You can interleave models.

Alain: We do a refresh per model.

Erik: The refresh process is for the UI for us. If a control is bound to one model, that's where it gets its value.

Alain: From the refresh action, it updates the model, and refreshes the UI. Then we go on to the next model.

Steven: In other words we have to find wording that allows both implementation strategies.

Erik: Your text is maybe OK, since it just says that a refresh has been done.

Steven: In "Model processing" we say "Although rebuild, recalculate, revalidate, and refresh are described as separate steps, since they always occur in sequence, implementations are at liberty to combine them into a lesser number of steps." which I think covers your case, allowing you to combine refreshes.
