Declarative Amsterdam

https://www.cwi.nl/~steven/declarative/

Steven: Last Friday
... planning a yearly event to replace XML Amsterdam.
... a successful event.
... Slides are online, follow the link above
... One criticism of XForms from John Chelsom is whaty I basically said here: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2018Nov/0006
... I'm going to think about this problem more and see if we can come up with a better solution than we've got now.

Bristech

Steven: I'm speaking on XForms there

ACTION-2264: Propose text for the merged textnodes case of insert

and replace. [Erik]

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2019Sep/0008

Erik: In progress.

ACTION-2261: Clarify what to do with merged text nodes in

xforms-replace event [Erik]

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2019Jun/0016

Erik: In progress

ACTION-2259: Propose text for mips on controls [Steven]

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2019Jun/0014

Steven: So our last discussion was about whether MIPS on the controls whould have effect on the model.

Erik: That was with required.
... if you say it is required in the view, but has no effect on the model, then it would appear as required, but the data in the model would still validate.
... and similar for type.
... or constraints.
... I understand that relevance also has impact on the model.
... but it is more shocking if it effects validation.
... there are many cases where you would like things to be more flat.
... you would like everything to be at a single level.
... we don't have a mechanism for that

ACTION-2266: Research websockets [Steven]

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2019Oct/0008.html

Steven: In progress.
