Should we change the meeting time for 2019?

<jamesn> +1 to moving away from Mondays

mck: Monday may not be best for everyone
... Thursday isn't good because it is ARIA WG day
... Fridays generally are not good

jn: start time is important
... Tues could go as early as 9am PST

<Jemma> poll for changing meeting schedule on Tuesday 8am, 9am PST?

mck: Jemma will set up poll

<Jemma> ACTION:Jemma will set up the poll for APG meeting schedule change

Release 3 Content Plan

<Jemma> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/wiki/APG-1.1-Release-3-Plan

mck: carousel and toolbar are top of list
... datepicker will be link from combobox pattern

Radios in toolbars

mck: Issue #949 to change radiogroup pattern in toolbar

jg: no definitions for arrow keys

mck: left/right arrow keys (note: orientation included?) navs across doesn't change selection
... up/down navs only within group and changes selection

bg: can't use native radios
... include as editorial cautions against use of text inputs in a toolbar

mck: also html select with size 1

<mck> Should up/down cycle only through radios in the toolbar?

bg: blind person wouldn't know difference in behavior - select or non-select

+1 (without select)

<jongund> +1

<MichielBijl> -1

mb: no because what if toolbar has two rows

jg: easy to remove if we're not sure

mck: pattern doesn't say down arrow would move to next row
... up/down could also scroll page

mb: grid hijacks up/down arrows

mck: toolbar is one dimensional due to aria-orientation

bg: orientation could change depending on device used
... let browser handle

mck: up/down arrow will cycle thru without select
... let's see what community says
... include note seeking input

Carousel pattern

mck: Current draft of carousel pattern: https://raw.githack.com/w3c/aria-practices/carousel-v2/aria-practices.html#carousel
... first couple sentences should help reader determine whether it fits their needs

<Jemma> references: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xH3eQvl_RPI65TeTtwgRy5Glx0nXVhiVfpLgCNqFGvE/edit by Charles Hall

mck: does first paragraph capture definition and description

<Jemma> https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/carousels/

<Jemma> there are different terms - slider, sliders, slideshow, a content slider

<Jemma> https://inclusive-components.design/a-content-slider/

<Jemma> I am only against about using "slider" from above I mentioned

mb: +1

Siri: +1 to include slide

<Jemma> jquery slider

jg: slide is being used by Bootstrap also

<Jemma> https://jqueryui.com/slider/

Provide feedback on list
