<wayne> good morning

<scribe> scribe: Jim

wd: personalization.
... working on stylesheet for font, color, etc.
... the hardest thing to deal with is 'sticky' things, headers footers etc.
... least intrusive way for LV to adjust visual environment is to have semantic markers to allow manipulation by stylesheets
... need a vocabulary
... viewport width in css, helps make everything wrap. Use VW units

jim: would be nice if we could apply those to paper and fix the truncation issue.

wd: will have trouble with large block elements with other stuff inside. div with table and additional text.

jim: that sounds like a linearization issue

Wayne working on CSS for Stylus, unstick, font, spacing.

personalization vocabulary

already in css - font, not[role=img], not[role=span]

wd: up to user to fit 1.2 enlargement into fixed fields.

ja: ??

wd: if you make spacing with 1.2 and using Verdana, resultant width of 1.5 that is too much for authors to compensate for.
... need vocabulary for MAX WIDTH for fontsize with font spacing and character spacing.
... not selectors, no selectors with commas
... need support for 'complex-selector-list' within NOT https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/:not
... issue of style sheet vs local style
... question for CSS - with personalization do extensions make physical changes to the webpage?
... reason... if extension allows change to webpage you could inject virus into page. how are browsers preventing this.

jim: Stylus already injects CSS into page. how is it no one has injected a virus?

wd: will personalization group help with getting extension protected (prevent virus injection)
... lv users need reverse color on text but not on images. user need reverse polarity not color. in some broswers when authors using background images (css injected) the image disappears when colors reversed.
... review color section of his CSS. selects many things but not buttons

trackbot, end meeting
