Coordination between LVTF and Personalization

<shawn> Janina: Need someone who can prototype

<scribe> scribe: Jim

<shawn> ... keep marker in place to indicate that current work not yet covering LV

APA and CSS talk regularly. Media queries for personalization

janina: not much has been happening with LV. COGA has been doing bulk of work in Personalization.
... APA recharted. Got someone from publishing - CharlesL.
... Still need someone to prototype LV personalization needs

<shawn> Jim: stuff exists in tools, just need easy access to it. e.g, browsers stripped out user CSS then we have to use thrid party (eg Stylus).

<shawn> ...

jim: perhaps we need CSS cascade to make injected css overrule author css (at least for @@important)

janina: do we use media queuries, or ???
... have a CSS taskforce. they need a project

jim: what is prototyping?

janina: writing a spec perhaps as an extension to browser platforms.
... had good session with web platforms at TPAC.
... Platforms looking at coga vocabularies.

jim: LV doesn't have a vocabulary. do we need one?

shawn: we need a champion to be present at the personalization table.

janina: Rich interested in mediaqueries.
... James Craig/apply very interested in media queuries. Check indiUI docs
... IndieUI has vocabulary information.

shawn: is there a place to find this information.

janina: see coga explainer doc.

shawn: in order to get a champion, we need information to help recruit

janina: looking for info, there is stuff in archives. have to pull it together.
... can help pull that together.

Jim: write jamesC at apple about media queries... still current thinking.

janina: also check with CSS taskforce. would a lv vocabulary help
... CSS Taskforce - Ian Pouncey, and some folks from paciello group

<shawn> Shawn needs to go to other call

janina: many groups - LVTF, APA, Personalization, CSS Accessibility Taskforce (APA, ARIA, Personalizaion)
... AAM = Accessibility API Mapping = for ARIA API to Platform Accessibility API (UI automation, etc)

^^^ perhaps personalization fits in the AAM

janina: publishing really needs this and is interested.

<shawn> trackbot, end meeting
