<Judy> JB: Any advance regrets for the 20th?

<Judy> JD: Yes

<Judy> JB: Is this time slot becoming more difficult?

<jeanne> JS: moderately difficult

<Judy> SAZ: Always difficult on CET

<Judy> JD: Somewhat difficult

<MichaelC> Michael is unlikely to be able to do a different time if the meeting changes

<tzviya> any meeting that is longer than one hour is difficult to accommodate

<Judy> ACTION: Judy check calendar and try to offer alternate times

<trackbot> Created ACTION-6 - Check calendar and try to offer alternate times [on Judy Brewer - due 2018-06-13].

<Judy> scribe: Judy

[JB: Webex drops out]

Jeanne: We're starting an information architecture review, so I'd compiled a list, including how there are structured
... probably not so relevant for today's discussion
... though the requirements document would be useful for next meeting

JB: would like to have that update at the appropriate time

Jeanne: Getting AGWG review next week

JB: Makes sense to get AGWG review first. Will do on the 20th.

<scribe> scribe: jeanne

M-Enabling coordination? http://www.m-enabling.com/

<janina> Not attending

JB: Quick check who on this call will be at M-Enabling?
... Judy and Shadi

TPAC planning https://www.w3.org/2018/10/TPAC/Overview.html

JB: The schedule is out and several groups have checked their times. Are there any questions or coordination needs?

JSa: APA has made a list of desired meetings, as part of organizing our TPAC plans.

JB: There has been a publishing "track" at former TPAC meetings. Is that accurate?

Tzviya: There will be meeting in Tokoyo prior to TPAC that will have most of the attendance.
... there will be 20-30 members of the working group at TPAC

JB: Have you coordinated with EOWG?

<Judy> ...and would that be useful?

Tzviya: We have met with them in the past. We are going to be talking about some aspects of the publishing business which may be of interest to EO. WHo should I reach out to?

JB: Shawn Henry, Sharron Rush or Brent Bakken
... Respond to W3C Admin messages if you receive them.

Other conferences to promote coverage at?

JB: In the past when we have discussed conferences, we have talked about reaching out to other conferences. Are there others that people suggest?
... are there non-a11y confereneces we should be bringing a11y into?

Tzviya: There is an annual conference IAnnotate on annotation and making them accessible. We could look at that for next year.
... this year in Silicon Valley, last year in Germany

<tzviya> http://iannotate.org/

Shadi: Kim Patch is attending that conference. I was contacted by Doug Scheppers. I connected him with Kim Patch. If it is in Germany next year, I would be interested in attending

SAZ: Two weeks ago I spoke at STC, Society for Technical Communications. It is about writing technical documentation and manuals. They are looking at aspects of augmented reality and virtual reality
... they are rather accessibility aware. They used to have an active accessibility group, but less active now.
... the crossover to virtual and augmented reality accessibility could be worthwhile.

Accessibility-outreach-related community groups, EOWG connection? (Not in APA scope) https://www.w3.org/community/groups/

JB: This is a follow-up from the last meeting. There is no one from EOWG attending this call today.
... I will see if I can get a response from EO by email

"Verticals" report/visit?

<Judy> ACTION: Judy follow up with EOWG by email about Accessibility CGs in cc to WAI CC

<trackbot> Created ACTION-7 - Follow up with eowg by email about accessibility cgs in cc to wai cc [on Judy Brewer - due 2018-06-13].

JB: We had a discussion several months ago about reaching out to verticals. I attended an APA meeting.
... the impression I came away with was that it was difficult to have a conversation about outreach to verticals given what APA already has on their plate and lack of communication channels between them
... I wanted to see if Jeff Jaffe could speak with this group or with APA
... the slide deck that he has been using for explaining outreach to verticals.

JSa: We need to identify people with expertise in the vertical that can attract the vertical interest
... important to identify who is active and who is more conjectural

JB: Maybe the discussion on the technical aspects could have with that.
... which is why I htought it might be helpful to have the technical discussion in APA, have the technical discussion and discover what stage they are at and whether it would be helpful to have the accessibility discussion at that stage.

JSa: I think the possibility of being helpful is worth it.

JB: With regard to Silver, would this be helpful?

JSp: I would be interested in regard to Silver scoping

JB: Would any of this be of interest to people on IRC or other areas of people on this call?

JSa: I want to have a conversation about the intersection of publishing and media

Tzviya: Once there is progress on the work that Marissa is doing, she would like to connect.

JSa: She is on my list to talk with, too.

JB: I would want to have someone interested in the industry verticals to participate as well. I'm inclined to do this as a half hour of an hour on this call.

JSa: That would include the broader swath than just APA
... there is a slide on media, are they aware of MAUR?

JB: This may be further out in June
... depending on Jeff's travel schedule

Call scheduling questions...

JB: Several people have joined the call since the earlier discussion.
... Tzviya has asked that this call be just an hour
... can I ask about the 3:00-4:00 time slot?

<jamesn> +1 to 3-4

<janina> As good as current

<tzviya> +1 for 3 -4

JSp: as good/bad as current

AWK: Better for me

<joanie> Better when I'm in U.S.

Shadi: This is 8:30-9:30PM for me

JB: Are there any ET morning times that would work?

<janina> 1400UTC

<janina> OK for me, but probably not Pacific like James

JSp: Wed, Thurs, or Fri at 10:00AM work for me.

<jamesn> -1 to 10am Boston

<jamesn> hard no for me

<janina> Monday, Wednesday

<tzviya> mornings are hard

JB: We will continue with our current call
