<tink> Scribe: Chaals
LJW: 67% through
<tink> https://github.com/w3c/html/milestone/20
LJW: 10 open issues, 21 closed.
CMN: I have 3 open PRs that should get us closer
LJW: merging web workers? Have we hit a roadblock?
XW: Implementation is good...
LJW: We are too far behind, let's let this slip.
CMN: +1
LJW: to be moved to HTML.next
XW: Is it technical question or a timeline one? Think the technical point against merging makes sense
LJW: Quite possibly, but in any case we need to have it merged now or not in this version, so it isn't going to happen for 5.3 anyway, so we can decide to look again and confirm the merge or change our minds.
XW: would prefer to move workers forward on its own.
LJW: Build warnings - close it?
CMN: Yep, or bump it. There are still a few...
TE: Will close. We can open a new one, but we made a lot of progress.
LJW: scrolling into view - 300
SOH: Seems tricky, and
substantive. Implementations differ, so we need to figure out
what we think makes sense...
... but haven't got it pinned down for this version.
LJW: Legacy ruby content - 291
XW: Wrote some tests, problem is rtc and rp are only supported in Firefox, so there is not good evidence to change the spec, the current text is good enough.
LJW: Should we mark them at risk in our spec?
CMN: yes.
LJW: Think we need to mark it at
risk today - we need to get this out. If we don't mark it at
risk now, we may have problems later...
... window opener
CMN: May have a fix for it today, not sure :S
LJW: media type
registration.
... editorial, bump to next milestone.
... update ch. 6
CMN: Hope I can get the semantic changes in todday (they are small, other than 262) and bump the editorial work to next milestone
LJW: 564 - focus API handling
SD: THere are implementation discrepancies. Hoping to get it done today...
LJW: If you can, do. It is a
substnative change, so if not we have to move it off :(
... merge custom elements
CMN: Major outstanding task is to check discrepancies on [CEReactions] and [HTMLConstructor] ... can be done after the milestone ships.
LJW: OK, let's get to where we
can, and get this out.
... I will send out the spec to TAG, APA, i18n, privacy IG,
security IG, notice to chairs@ - anywhere else we should tell
people to look at specific bits?
... media capture should get checked by them.
... Some groups are very busy. We can ask for 4 week review,
for some that would be hard.
TE: This needs to be done, we should push them on it.
CMN: +1
LJW: We don't need to finish this
until we are looking to move beyond CR. We have 4 weeks for
Wide review, then we ask for CR - a one week CfC. It would be
good to have the implementation report ready when we are asking
for CR.
... please make sure that the changes we have made are in the
implementation report.
TE: do we need to write formal tests for these?
LJW: Depends. We are prepared to
trust canIuse or the like if they cover it, tests where
needed.
... Is everyone clear what needs to be done for implementation
report?
SOH: Would like to go over it with someone later.
LJW: Sure, ping me when you want.
LJW: we need to give 8 week
notice, so that means now.
... Do we have a quorum to make it worthwhile?
... I believe we have chaals, scott, LJW, xiaoqian, probably
bruce, probably not terence, probably not shwetank.
... Steve Faulkner is also able to attend.
CMN: Expect Sangwhan.
LJW: Think that's a quorum.
... Shwetank would you be able to attendd remotely?
SD: Yes.
LJW: OK, will update the meeting page, ping out notice, and confirm.
