CAPTCHA Note - coordination and discussion.

<janina> http://blog.microtask.com/2011/10/crime-sourcing-the-dark-side-of-the-crowd/index.html

<jasonjgw> Janina suggests we should mention the use of crowd-sourcing techniques to circumvent (i.e., solve) CAPTCHAs. Janina notes the term "crime-sourcing" where illegal benefits are exchanged for solving CAPTCHA challenges.

<jasonjgw> After discussion, the question is wehther the ability to defeat CAPTCHA challenges via crowd-sourcing techniques should be noted without introducing a new section.

<jasonjgw> Janina will suggest an insertion point for this note.

<jasonjgw> Janina suggests noting the availability of biometrics on smart devices.

<jasonjgw> Scott: it's briefly mentioned under federated identity.

<jasonjgw> Janina suggests it as an example under alternatives to CAPTCHA.

jgw: noting a term of art: "human interaction proof"
... should we use the vocabulary of this area?
... Will find a way we might use it
... thinking of multi modal captcha -- presents both an image an corresponding auditory
... problem for deaf-blind -- should we mention?
... believe alternatives well covered
... Any other comments are fine editorial points--overall this is excellent

<jasonjgw> Janina recommends taking the discussion to the mailing list and making the document available to Task Force participants.

<jasonjgw> After discussion, it was agreed that we will take further editing coordination to the RQTF mailing list. Jason will begin by circulating an HTML version of Scott's draft there.
