Around the table: Current APG work, availability in coming weeks, future agenda requests.

jn: overwhelmed with other work

bg: available to review stuff - just assign
... not sure about bandwidth for bug fixes

Evan: no bugs currently assigned

mck: will assign a couple lighter weight bugs

Evan: ok

jg: can work on examples for spin button, alert dialog

mck: add alert dialog to same folder as dialog as they should use almost same code

jg: also working on kbd focus guidance

Update on menubar mouse behavior changes

<mck> pull 593: https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/pull/593

<mck> issue 408 comment: https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/408#issuecomment-367218312

Evan: will look at these - Carolyn describes native OS experience but not seen on web

jg: main concern is breaking convention

mck: jg & Evan - please add comment to 408

<jamesn> github: https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/408

Wrapping up release 1 milestone

jn: will go thru them

<mck> Release 1 milestone link https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/milestone/6

Optionality of typeahead in long listboxes

<mck> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/591

mck: Current wording was meant to be slightly stronger than optional but is not understood to be stronger. Do we really want to mark typeahead as optional for long lists?

Evan: editorial consistency is important - can probably be conveyed in another way

aa: "Optional" carries less weight than a stronger message

Evan: useful to know why something is recommended, especially in this instance
... include reasoning as to why it is recommende

mck: will have 3 levels: one = no remark (like required), two = Optional, three = Strongly recommended

Future meetings and other business

1) no meeting on March 5 to allow more asynchronus work time and CSUN prep.

2) March 12: Possible dry run of CSUN presentation to solicit feedback

3) No meeting on March 19 due to CSUN

4) Matt out on Mar 26; meeting plan TBD.
