<scottmg> hi! (didn't mean to take ops :)

Current state

SG: Work started about five years ago.
... Lots of interest from Google and mozilla.
... MS expressed possible interest for Edge also.
... For the spec there is lots we could add.
... But getting something published would be good.
... We could then add things like touch on controller in a further version.

SA: What is the baseline?

SG: Getting the current version of the spec to Rec.

LW: Brief path is get an updated WD out.
... When we have likely two implementations, send ot for wide review.
... Then CR and on to Rec.
... Are we using WPT?

SG: Don't think so.

LW: Any idea on implementations?

SG: Chrome and Firefox.
... Possibly Edge too, and also Opera.

LW: We'll need a test suite of some description.
... Any idea what we need to do to the spec to get to Rec?

SG: Need to check a couple of things.
... a few open bugs, but all fairly minor.

LW: Is there a good way for Steve to get started?

SA: Sony is interested in seeing this spec get to rec.

SG: Cool.
... Brandon is the preson to talk to I think.

SA: One of my colleagues is looking at how the spec might be evolved to support Sony's direction.
... We've been posting them to Github.
... Not sure how the process works though.

LW: Scott could you and Brandon do an initial triage to identify issues for v1?

SG: Yes, we can, and Ted too.
... Will try do do it at the end of this meeting.

SA: Happy to help with the triage.

LW: Suggest we use a V1 and V2 label or something.

SG: Sounds good.

LW: Is there anything else I can do to help you?

SG: Help with the Process would be good.

LW: NP. Would a monthly catchup be helpful?

SG: If we can get everyone together, yes.

SA: Yes, it would.

LW: Ok, I'll send out these minutes and suggest a regular catch up.
... Thanks both.
