Steven: Next week is the last call of the year. We reconvene on 10th
January.

Steven: Why do we choose to return the empty sequence rather than the empty
string?
Erik: In XPath 2, it is a way of distinguishing between a value that is an empty string, and a non-existent value.
Should we state under what conditions property('version') returns its
different values?
Steven: Is version the highest
value that impl can return?
... or is it the state that the implementation is in at the
moment?
Erik: What could you want to
know?
... it might be the value of the attribute
... which version was selected
... or what the highest level is available...
... probably the most useful is which version is selected.
Steven: So I will change it to say that the result that is returned is dependent on which version is currently selected.
<scribe> ACTION: Steven to update property() to explain what 'version' returns.
<trackbot> Created ACTION-2149 - Update property() to explain what 'version' returns. [on Steven Pemberton - due 2017-12-13].
Steven: Will XForms 2.0 still support conformance-level basic?
Erik: "There are two levels of conformance: "model", and "full"."
Steven: Oh yes
Erik: We had this discussion
before.
... no more basic
<scribe> ACTION: Steven to add 'model' to conformance-level in property(), and explain about 'basic'
<trackbot> Created ACTION-2150 - Add 'model' to conformance-level in property(), and explain about 'basic' [on Steven Pemberton - due 2017-12-13].

Erik: We have this in our
implementation
... I thought because we had introduced HTML fragments, that we
could bind it to output elements
Steven: 1. Do we luist some
mediatypes? Explicitely or in examples?
... 2: Should we just treat label=output, but just used
differently?
Erik: Browsers have some restrictions on what can be used in a label, but it is nevertheless easy to do.
Steven: I wouldn't be against it. It makes life easier.
Alain: I can support that.
Erik: For label and output, maybe an example would be enough. Add mediatype to label.
<scribe> ACTION: Steven to add @mediatype to label
<trackbot> Created ACTION-2151 - Add @mediatype to label [on Steven Pemberton - due 2017-12-13].
<scribe> ACTION: Steven to add example of using @mediatype with text/html
<trackbot> Created ACTION-2152 - Add example of using @mediatype with text/html [on Steven Pemberton - due 2017-12-13].

Steven: So we discussed
... this last week, but didn't come to a resolution. Are we OK
with it?
Erik: Yes
Alain: No problem
Philip: Yep
RESOLUTION: to adopt help hint alert and label to the model
Erik: Let's shoot for next week!
Steven: Deal!
<ebruchez> we lost you Steven
Damn
I still hear you
[ADJOURN]
:-)
Speak next week
bye
