PR API

nicktr: Congratulations!

Decision => https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-payments-wg/2017Jul/0057.html

nicktr: Result was that we have decided to go to CR as a WG
... that's very exciting!
... thank you to everyone who has been involved, and in particular to the editors

Ian: +1

Draft transition request: https://www.w3.org/2017/07/13-prapi-cr-trans-req.txt

IJ: We plan a media advisory with the publication
... If we want testimonials, we would want to give multiple weeks to orgs. That would help with visibility, but also would require more time

NickTR: I think the expectation / proposal is that we accompany the publication with a media advisory (without an explicit call to the membership for testimonials)

(No comments or concerns registered)

IJ: There is still some cleanup to do (e.g., issues) before we send the transition request.
... so I'll be working with chairs and editors on that.
... so expect the transition request some time next week

<scribe> Topic: Payment Method Manifest to FPWD

https://w3c.github.io/payment-method-manifest/

IJ: Expect a CFC in a week or so

NickTR: Any other reviewers before CfC?

Ian: I imagine that's welcome but this spec is more mature than other ones pre FPWD

Payment Method Good practice

NickTR: I recently reviewed and found it helpful.

NickTR: I am happy to make edits based on feedback

<scribe> topic: Testing

https://github.com/w3c/payment-request/blob/gh-pages/test-plan.md#test-plan--payment-request-api

<nicktr> Ian: Paycert have joined who are a testing organisation

<nicktr> ...other certification orgs have also joined. Stay tuned

<nicktr> ...this is also a call for browser vendors for help with testing

https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/tree/master/payment-request

IJ: We should keep coming back to this to ensure we get through CR efficiently

<nicktr> Ian: we will return to this periodically

nicktr: Testing effort is very important to getting through CR

Next call

<nicktr> Ian: next call 10 August

IJ: Proposed 10 Aug
