<jheuer> I won'T be able to come to the US for just this F2F. Too bad - coupons and loyalty would be a big topic for us.
david: Comments on the draft topics?
padler: Should we add topics on
recruitment or moving the work forward?
... I think that as we get into linkages between coupons /
verifiable claims they may tie into identity
<jheuer> +1 to loyalty and identity being tightly related
padler: guests?
<Zakim> Ian, you wanted to speak about anticipated limits to coupons work from his perspective
IJ: My focus for coupons will be on checkout and user experience (not identity)
<jheuer> I can see to send Peter there...
Erik: There is a payments UK meeting 4 July in London...anyone going?
dezell: Ian you mentioned a specific scope on coupons/loyalty
<dezell> https://www.w3.org/Payments/IG/wiki/WebPaymentIGProcess
Linda: I'd be happy to present what we're interested in
<Erik> https://github.com/w3c/blockchain/blob/master/use%20cases/blockchain_use_cases.md
IJ: Fraud mitigation comes up in conversations...orgs want data to detect fraud...would a standard that also protects user privacy be useful?
Erik: I may want to speak with Linda about coupons and blockchain
IJ: Need to hear from the IG what
they want to discuss
... we want everyone to value the meeting time
... we can forego the meeting if there are no pressing issues
people want to discuss
... What should the IG be focusing on?
amyz: loyalty interested to a
cross-section of our membership (at ETA)
... I would like to get some additional ideas from ETA
... I may come back with additional ideas
... and can present the info to the group in July
padler: It seems the IG needs to
focus on new topics and also restate a mission for "phase
2"
... FTF time would be a good time to discuss "what's next for
the IG"?
... and that sets the requirement for bringing in new
participants, etc.
... I am concerned that we have a lot of standardization
efforts that are not well-connected
<dezell> +1 to a topic concerning revision of mission
padler: need to ensure things are
coordinated
... so I think a goal should be to nail down mission statement
for what to do next

Review and update the strategic plan of the Interest Group
Reach consensus on the next standardization priority and develop a plan and timeline for the creation and socialization of a new Working Group Charter.

Ensure IG participants are satisfied with direction and activities of the group
Determine promising areas for deeper discussion on standardization opportunities for W3C.
IJ: Last two meetings had very similar goals and survey of industry topics to find priorities...but meetings have not panned out...what can we do better/different?
<Zakim> padler, you wanted to propose ideas for improvement...
padler: Regarding Oct and Feb, we
covered a lot of ground...even though the meetings were useful
meetings for getting up to speed, we didn't have a lot of time
for "what next"
... might have been useful to pin those down at the
meeting
... big topic in my mind is "how do these topics relate to one
another"
<Zakim> Ian, you wanted to clarify coupons is not leading to workshop in short term
IJ: We are currently not planning a coupons workshop; focus may be CG to start
ach erik
Erik: I was in a meeting with
people about identity...and standards....some groups want to
"lead with code"
... rather than "lead with standards"
dezell: Want to be sure that
people who are interested in coupons are same people who would
join a CG
... we need to take that into account
<jheuer> Loyalty could be a starting point for an identity development in other organizations...
<Zakim> padler, you wanted to ask for specifics on Mission 2.0
