Old and current implementation

As of 2017-03-08, the old and current links between classes: FeatureOfInterest, xxxProperty, {Actuator/Sensor}, {Actuation/Observation} are represented in the following figure:

Discussions

Kerry: can we reconsider the names please? "actsOnProperty" (from SEAS) instead of "actuatedProperty" (does not follow active property naming convention, is not English)

- Maxime: +1 for "sosa:actsOnProperty/sosa:isActedOnBy" and "sosa:observesProperty/sosa:isObservedBy", for the sake of having consistent naming conventions.

- Jano: I prefer "sosa:actsOnProperty/sosa:isActedOnBy" and "sosa:observedProperty/sosa:isObservedBy", for the sake of having consistent naming conventions.

Currently proposed options for actuator

  1. sosa:actuatedProperty/sosa:isActuatedPropertyOf
  2. sosa:actsOn/sosa:isActedOnBy
  3. sosa:actsOn/sosa:isActedOnBy --> See UPDATE (02/20/17) --> UPDATE (02/21/17): voted on and accepted 21/02.
  4. sosa:actuatedProperty/sosa:propertyWasActuatedBy
  5. ...


Focus on Option 4

- Maxime: I would be happy with consistent like in the figure below, although it requires that this vote is reconsidered:
