ISSUE-64: Global or local constraints on properties

Global or local constraints on properties

State:
CLOSED
Product:
Time ontology in OWL
Raised by:
Simon Cox
Opened on:
2016-05-18
Description:
Most of the properties defined in the original OWL-Time ontology have global constraints on the domain and range. If the rdfs:domain were left unspecified, the properties could be used more widely, and would satisfy some of the demand for general purpose temporal predicates without undesirable entailments, rather than being restricted to relationships between purely temporal entities.

Their use in the context of the classes in the ontology is adequately controlled through guarded restrictions (local cardinality constraints).
