MINUTES: Day 1 Day 2 Day 3

Fifth Face to Face meeting

Our 5th face to face meeting will be virtual and held over the phone on Dec. 15-17 (Tue, Wed, Thu), St John's, Newfoundland time.

  1. Labra: The F2F overlaps with a conference I have in Bogotá on 14/15 Dec. I will be taking a plane on 16 and expect to arrive to Spain on 17 Dec. I expect to be able to attend on 17th and maybe at some moments on 15/16.
  2. Harold Solbrig: Unexpected overlap with a conference at Mayo. I will be able to attend:
    • Tuesday: 10:15 to 12:00
    • Wednesday: 10:15 to 2:00
    • Thursday: 10:15 to 11:30

      • fully specifing the SPARQL language binding - what variables are rebound, what auxiliary functions are available, etc.
  • Difference between SHACL and ShEX ISSUE-57 ISSUE-92
    • Clarifying the role of ShEx
      • shall it become the "OPTIONAL - Compact, human-readable, non-RDF syntax" mentioned in the charter?
      • if that's the case, are we willing to foster the integration of SHACL&ShEx or is it a matter of sink or swim (i.e. either one of them adapts the other's semantics or an integration won't happen)?
      • or is ShEx a complete "counter proposal" to SHACL (which might benefit from a discontinuation of the WG)?
      • what must be added to SHACL to satisfy the ShEx use cases
  • UI concerns ISSUE-100 ISSUE-113 ISSUE-114
    • (kc) I'd like us to discuss "layering" of UI data on validation to increase re-usability of validation.
