Open Data Institute Networking Event 23 April 2013 Sold out!

This really is the week to be in Shoreditch! As well as the Open Data on the Web workshop the Open Government Partnership and the Web Foundation are in town and there are important meetings taking place at the ODI - not to mention it's Big Data Week. The evening of Tuesday 23rd April provides an opportunity for people involved in any of these meetings to come together for a spot of networking.

tom Scott speaking

During the evening, technologists and policy makers will be able to meet and see the world from each other's perspective. The event will be light hearted throughout (no heavy speeches, no policy announcements) and will feature a guest appearance from technology raconteur Tom Scott who will offer his own take on the three pillars of open data: transparency, efficiency and innovation.

You can get an idea of the kind of thing Tom does on his Web site which includes links to several videos. I Know What You Did Five Minutes Ago is likely to strike a chord with many in the open data world!

There will be wine and canapés over which you can make your plans for dinner, perhaps at one of the many local restaurants.

Entry is by invitation only and numbers are limited by the size of the space at the ODI. If you haven't been invited and think you really ought to have been, contact Phil Archer.
