W3C CSS Meetup - Paris

La série des meetups W3C continue ! Après le HTML5 meetup en avril 2010, et le SVG meetup en septembre 2010, voici un tout nouveau meetup W3C dédié aux feuilles de style CSS. Des orateurs exceptionnels pour des démonstrations surprenantes mettant en oeuvre les nouvelles fonctionnalités de CSS3. La majorité des présentations se feront en français avec des discussions possibles en français et en anglais, les traductions étant assurées par Daniel Glazman. Merci Daniel.

Le W3C invite la communauté Web (développeurs, designers, etc.) à participer à un meetup dédié à CSS (Cascading StyleSheets), le mercredi 8 février 2012, à partir de 19h00, à La Cantine. De nombreux membres du groupe de travail W3C CSS seront présents, et répondront à toutes vos questions.

Daniel Glazman, co-animateur du groupe de travail CSS du W3C (Disruptive Innovations)

Daniel Glazman traîne dans l'écriture de logiciels depuis encore plus longtemps qu'il ne traîne dans la standardisation du Web. Après avoir écrit un des tous premiers logiciels de messagerie électronique internationalisé et multimedia, il a participé aux groupes de travail du W3C qui ont publié les standards HTML 4 et CSS 2. Aujourd'hui co-chairman du CSS Working Group au W3C, il dirige Disruptive Innovations, une petite entreprise d'éditions de logiciels centrée sur Mozilla et - au hasard - les standards du Web. Vincent Hardy, Principal Scientist (Adobe Systems)

Vincent Hardy works on Web Standards. Vincent is working with the CSS working group, the FX task force and the SVG working group. He currently works on CSS shaders, CSS regions, CSS exclusions, and Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG). Prior to joining Adobe, Vincent worked at Oracle on graphical, interactive, and animated user interfaces in the field of business intelligence and at Sun Microsystems where he focused on graphical, animated, and interactive technologies, mainly the Java 2D API and the SVG format. Vincent cofounded and led the Batik project at Apache, an open source Java toolkit for manipulating, viewing, or transcoding SVG content. Vincent is the author of Java 2D API Graphics and has a passion for graphical design. [@vincent_hardy]

David Baron, Software Engineer (Mozilla)

David is a software engineer at Mozilla Corporation, where he works on the implementations of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and layout algorithms (computing the positions of objects) used in Firefox and other Mozilla software, on fixing crashes and memory leaks, and on other things. He has been working on Mozilla since 1998, and is a member of the W3C CSS working group. [@davidbaron]

Florian Rivoal travaille à Oslo chez Opera Software, dans l'équipe en charge de l'implémentation de CSS. Avant cela, il travaillait sur les sujets TV et mobile depuis les bureaux d'Opera à Tokyo.
