At W3C, I represent the Apache Software Foundation.
I'm chair and a committer to the Apache Jena where I mainly focus on storage and query, together with reading and writing non-RDF/XML syntaxes.
I work for Epimorphics Ltd, a Linked Data start-up in the UK. We been involved in the development of the Linked Data API and have released an open source implementation ELDA. We have also been involved in the data.gov.uk project for releasing Government data in a linked data style.
W3C Experience
- RDF Data Access Working Group, where I was co-editor of SPARQL 1.0.
- SPARQL Working Group, where I am co-editor of SPARQL 1.1
Focus for RDF-WG
- Formalization of Turtle and a consistent set of syntax designs for Turtle-related languages. (see Some syntax notes)
- Named Graphs and the implications for working with multiple graphs.
