Introduction

This document records errata and corrections suggested by the community in the PROV specifications as published on the 30 April 2013:

These corrections have no normative status as they have not been incorporated in the specification through the Recommendation Track or Working Group Note process. If you find an issue in one of the documents listed above that you believe may be an error and wish to have it recorded here, please post your discovery to the public-prov-comments mailing list, cc-ing to the editor of this document, Ivan Herman. The community has the possibility to react on the post and, typically after 5-6 business days and unless the community strongly objects for the discovery to be recorded as an official erratum, the entry is added to this list by the editor.

The errata are separated into 12 sections, corresponding to the different parts of the specification.

Two kinds of changes are highlighted: new, added text and deleted text.

Error o-2, typo/misspelling in Example 1

in Example 1, the Agent named :natonal_newspaper_inc should be spelled :national_newspaper_inc".

Error o-3, outdated link to PROV-Overview

in Abstract, the link to "PROV Document Overview" points to an older draft http://www.w3.org/TR/2012/WD-prov-overview-20121211/ and should instead http://www.w3.org/TR/2013/NOTE-prov-overview-20130430/.

Error o-4, incorrect subproperty assertion for prov:hadMember

in (29) Property: prov:hadMember, prov:hadMember is incorrectly asserted to be a subproperty of prov:wasInfluencedBy. has super-properties prov:wasInfluencedBy

Error o-5, generation and invalidation time properties have no equivalent in prov-dm

in (22) Property: prov:generatedAtTime and in (27) Property: prov:invalidatedAtTime, prov:generatedAtTime and prov:invalidatedAtTime properties should not be defined because they have no equivalent in prov-dm and thus no equivalent in other PROV serializations.

Error o-6, Prov Overview reference in the abstract is incorrect

The latest version of PROV-O contains a link to the PROV Document Overview in the Abstract, which goes to a Working Draft document. It refers to a dated URL of a Working Draft, instead of referring to the short name, i.e., the stable version of the document.
