The first SPARQL face-to-face meeting will be held in Cambridge, MA and Bristol, UK on May 6-7, 2009.

Tentative Schedule 7-3 EDT, both days.

Option of video conference facilities are being explored now. If you prefer a video conference connection and propose to host a second, alternative site to join in which also other people could join, please post proposals here.

Location

From Kendal Square to F2F room in the MIT Stata Center.

  2. continue along sidewalk under scafolding on Vassar St.
  3. left into Stata Center
  4. show no fear
  5. right at question mark

  7. left at the printer
  8. down the hall
  9. around the stairs
  10. into the vidiot room.

Remote Participation

We have a bridge reserved with the usual SPARQ (77277) code. You may also connect via NetMeeting, XMeeting, or Ekiga, according to the CSAIL video conference page.

Bristol Airport is to the south of the Bristol, HPLabs is to the north.

Note: There is a new entrance to the HP site in Bristol. Directions from some mapping systems will not have caught up. See the directions on the HPLabs directions page.

Bristol Travel

Trains

Bristol has two mainline railways stations: Bristol Parkway and Bristol Temple Meads. Parkway is close to HP; Temple Meads is near the centre of the city.

The station Filton Abbey Wood is a local station slightly closer than Parkway (but not much).
