Description:
[This issue is raised as per ACTION-368.]

In an environment where content is written once and rendered on different
devices there is a definite danger of exceeding the 120 px screen width limit
for the DDC if long words are used or if the content was written with more of a
web focus.

For example, in the German language there are often rather long words due to a
characteristic of the language that creates more specific expressions by
combining words.
Another example would be the prevention of a line break by usage of non-breaking
spaces by the author for aesthetic purposes.

This phenomenon certainly occurs even in regular web content if the space
provided for such text is limited.
The effect might be a widening of a layer, resulting in drastic layout changes.

Technically this is difficult to solve or work around since it the words chosen
are an authoring problem.

If additionally larger fonts are used, as is common in headings, then the
problem would be compounded.
Also, the behavior of non-breaking spaces may be different depending on the browser.

There are CSS methods, such as directing overflow behavior, that may prevent
widening of the display and thus preventing horizontal scrolling, but that is
again an authoring issue.

Point in fact, concatenating characters can lead to unwanted behavior of the
content and it should be tested for.

Proposed test:
Determine font with used, in pixel, based on the M, and see if it exceeds 120 px.
However, I do not know who font width which is proportional can be measured in
pixel.
