II. Lessons and Sensory Limits Learned from Virtual Reality Flight Simulator Terrain Navigation and from Medical Simulators.
  - Virtual Reality (VR) Flight Simulator offers users with vision
impairment and autism or sensory challenges an “Audio Beacon
    Directed” world

      - Flying over a 3-Dimensional Island with Mountain Ranges

- Gives 6 Degrees of Freedom in motion (x, y, z, roll, pitch, and
  yaw)
- Provides perception of praxis (body orientation) and body motion
- Steer with directional voice or audio navigation such as: “This is
the Northwest Corner of the VR Island”
- Elicit Attention for Children with Autism (Navigating and “Flying”
to the sound of a dragon’s stomach rumbling)
- * World Overview Limitation: a directional “point of sound” beacon
couldn’t create a cognitive picture of complex mountain terrain
