Page Contents

Ownership

SKOS is currently developed and maintained by the W3C Semantic Web Deployment Working Group (SWDWG). The SWDWG is chartered to develop SKOS to W3C Recommendation status by the first quarter of 2008. For more information on the work plan, deliverables and time line see the SWDWG charter and the deliverables page on the SWDWG wiki.

Community

The involvement of a broad community of interest in the development of SKOS continues to be an extremely important factor in its design and implementation. The focus for this community is the public-esw-thes@w3.org mailing list, where all design and development discussion is carried out. Anyone is free to subscribe or to post to this mailing list, and to get involved with the discussions at any level.

Participation

Anyone may participate informally in the development of SKOS by joining the discussions on public-esw-thes@w3.org - informal participation is warmly welcomed.

Anyone who works for a W3C member organisation may formally participate in the development process by joining the Semantic Web Deployment Working Group - this entitles individuals to edit specifications and to vote on publication decisions.
