Why QA?

Since 2001, W3C has a QA activity with a Working group and an Interest group.

• Familiar reasons:
  • Better, more testable specifications
  • More interoperable implementations
• Good business sense:
  • Cost of RECs (example SVG 1.0: $2M USD)
  • Test materials reduces the REC development costs
