Why should YOU care about I18N?
- The user community is international:
- Non-technical users are increasing
- Non-English-speaking countries are catching up
- Using the right script and language is the primary means to reach the
user
- Some users are putting up with anything as long as they get nothing
better
- Users will quickly change to a product that allows them to use their
language even if it's inferior in other respects
- Internationalization is not difficult/expensive if done at the right
place/time
- Internationalization is a feature you need to sell, not a feature you
can sell
- If not done, a product is unusable
- If done, it's taken for granted
