- We do not know exactly why, but the reasons would be..
- solving device specific issues(e.g. bandwidth, limitations of I/O devices)
- lack of coordination mechanisms amongst those bodies
- W3C is well-positioned to provide a place for the coordination and cooperation
- already have coordination mechanisms w/ some bodies (e.g. WAP Forum)
- Hypertext CG is currently involved in the review and discussion of specifications
produced by TV organizations
