Zoom

From W3C Wiki

W3C benefits from an MIT site license for Zoom. W3C Staff are instructed to configure their MIT Zoom accounts with specific default settings.

With the increase in global usage of Zoom starting in March 2020 there is much discussion of the security and privacy of this service.

For W3C's purposes, we expect meetings to be public, so channel confidentiality is not a priority.

W3C has long recommended that teleconference coordinates not be posted in public view. Each meeting has an expected set of (invited) participants and the coordinates (e.g. meeting number and password) of those meetings is communicated via password-protected means.
