WebID/Delegation

WebID delegation

Delegation can have a number of meanings in the context of WebID. Currently we have identified two:

  • Authentication Delegation which is useful for web services that want to get going quickly with WebID by delegating Authentication to another service.
  • Authorization Delegation where an agent wishes to act for another agent in order to provide a service for it. Here a user may wish to allow a web service to act as a secretary for him, by fetching resources on the web for the user (RESTful mail, blog posts, ...) .
