Results

  • A) page was unusable with virtual cursor on (JAWS' default when browser loaded)
  • B) JAWS was able to read the entire contents of the introductory content with virtual cursor turned off;
  • C) when focus was established on the widget using the TAB key, JAWS ennunciated simply the word "Frame"; moving up and down (UpArrow/DownArrow) resulted in JAWS reporting "frame blank"; there was no indication whether a node was collapseable or expandable, and moving through nodes with the UpArrow and DownArrow resulted only in JAWS speaking the word: "Frame"
  • D) Tabbing off the first frame, JAWS encountered what it called "Edit frame"; JAWS could not speak the contents of the "edit frame", whether virtual cursor was on or off;
  • E) despite JAWS' clear indication that there are 2 frames contained in the page, JAWS' list of frames revealed no frames.
