  • Helen Chen
  • Apology: Davide Zaccagnini

Agenda Items

  1. Ontological Representation of Protocols and Guidelines,
  2. Progress review: modelling Stroke Management Protocols,
  3. HL7 V3, can they be used to represent protocols and pathways

Discussion minutes

  1. need to review two references
  2. progress review : postpone to next Tcon, June 27
  3. HL7 V3, in modelling protocols and pathways
    • H: HL7 RIM and Domain Vocubulary seem to offer a good healthcare domain ontology for description of medical knowledge used in protocols and pathways
    • S: Not familiar with HL7 RIM V3 enough to comment on its suitability for protocols and pathways. Should not purely reply on "mood" code of a task, because it does not reflect the status of a task during its execution in a workflow. Need to be able to express logic with "state" information of a task as well. Mentioned collection of blood samples and respective lab tests (Helen would like to see the blood lab test protocols in written as a test case here)

Next Tcon
