ActivityPub/Primer/Tracking read status of objects

There is a strong use case, which is provided in other digital communications systems, to mark content as "read" or "viewed".

ActivityPub does not have a built-in way to handle marking Activities or other objects as "read" or "viewed", nor is there a widely-followed extension for this.
