Fifth International World Wide Web Conference

May 6-10, Paris, France

Call for Panels

As part of the Technical Program for the Fifth World Wide Web Conference, about 7 Panel sessions are planned each lasting for about 90 minutes. These will take place as part of the Technical Program on 7 to 9 May.

Panel sessions are most likely to be in an area that is controversial or new and where various paths for progress are still open.

The assumption is that for each Panel there will be an overall Chairman responsible for the Panel and about 4 panel members giving 10-15 minute talks leaving about 30 minutes time for questions from the audience.

We already have some plans for Panel sessions but are open to proposals from the community.

If anybody is interested in organising a Panel Session, could they submit a proposal before 20 February 1996 to:

frah@inf.rl.ac.uk (Bob Hopgood)

or

Catherine.Chat@inria.fr

The details required are:

  1. Name of Chairman
  2. Topic
  3. Possible Panel Members
  4. Half an A4 page giving details of why you believe this would be an exciting Session for people to attend.

The decisions on panel sessions will be made at the Technical Program Committee Meeting in Paris on 26-27 February. Successful bids will be notified soon after that date.
