potential patch to check and relevant template (6.41 KB, patch)

Description Olivier Thereaux 2004-11-12 01:16:58 UTC
Current HEAD chokes when running with doctype override, regardless of whether the original document
is valid or not.

Parsing stops with:
[[
Line 2, column 18: delimiter """ invalid: only delimiter ">", delimiter "[", "PUBLIC", "SYSTEM" and
parameter separators are allowed .
<!DOCTYPE PUBLIC ""
]]

Somewhat ugly fix in CVS. TODO: the chosen override is not preserved in the
drop-down box in the results page, ie. it's not selected -> changing summary to
reflect that.

re-assigning the drop-down issue to me.

potential patch to check and relevant template

This is a working solution to the problem, but I am not exactly satisfied with
it:
- it makes the edition of the popup menu tedious
- it does not use in any way the validator's catalogue of doctypes
- and finally, I am not certain that this popup should be controlled from the
localizable templates, because it would make any change particularly annoying
once translations have been made (and thus the file replicated a number of
time)
Still, it's a working solution, and I don't have anything better. yet.

Will do for now.
