Description Nick Levinson 2015-11-15 02:57:58 UTC
The W3C Link Checker, when I entered <http://cold32.com>, allowed 10 levels of recursion (more than needed), and set it to send the Referer, reported as broken a link that worked for me. The Link Checker reported it as broken because the URL ended without a filename extension. I tried suffixing <.html>, <.htm>, </index.html>, </index.htm>, </Overview.html>, and </Overview.htm>, which includes W3C's suggestions, but all failed as page-not-found. But since the nonsuffixed URL worked, the Link Checker should have accepted the URL. The URL was http://www.public-domain-image.com/free-images/vintage-photography/eskimos-woman-and-girl-ice-fishing and it was linked to on <http://cold32.com/image-credit.htm>.

For this bug report, I guessed the component and the version; the version is actually 4.81.
