Next meeting: telcon, 04 Mar 2010?

No regrets heard.

xslt step with text output

-> http://www.w3.org/XML/XProc/2010/01/lc-comments/#C021

Norm: I propose we close this without action.

Accepted.

Test suite: variable-005

-> http://www.w3.org/XML/XProc/2010/01/lc-comments/#C023

Vojtech: We now require a binding in p:xpath-context, so what does the sentence in 4.4 mean.
... it says you need a default readable port.

Norm: Yes, I think an editorial change here makes sense, to explicitly note that the default readable port can be undefined

Proposal: Leave the status quo, with the editorial fix mentioned above.

Accepted.

Test suite: err-s0004-005

-> http://www.w3.org/XML/XProc/2010/01/lc-comments/#C024

Norm describes the issue.

Norm: I don't feel strongly about it.

Vojtech: We do a similar thing with parameter input port.

Norm: I concede that this a little inconsistent.

Proposal: Allow required='false' when select is used on p:option

Vojtech: This change will also simplify tools that build pipelines.

Accepted.

try-namespaces

-> http://www.w3.org/XML/XProc/2010/01/lc-comments/#C026

Vojtech: In 2008, we decided to add "try-namespace"

Norm: Ok, it was editorial sloppiness then

Proposal: Fix the bug, change to try-namespace.

Accepted.

After the call, Henry reminded us that there really are multiple namespaces in play. This decision is reversed.

Namespace hint

-> http://www.w3.org/XML/XProc/2010/01/lc-comments/#C027

Norm: What if the document element is in no namespace.

Vojtech: Just ignore the hint.

Norm: I agree.

Proposal: Ignore the hint.

Accepted.

Norm: And if there isn't a document there, that's ok too.

General agreement

Progress towards PR

-> http://tests.xproc.org/results/comparison.html

-> http://tests.xproc.org/testsuite/coverage.html

Norm: We're done!

Henry: Woo hoo!

<alexmilowski> Yippie!

Norm: I assert that we have a complete test suite and two implementations of every relevant feature.

Paul: Congratulations.

Norm: I propose that we request transition to PR

Accepted.

Norm: Henry, what are the next steps?

Henry: You put together a transition request, I review it, and you send it.

Paul: If you look at the draft transition request that I sent out for XLink 1.1, that should help.

Any other business

None heard.
