Participants

Attendance is limited to participants of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) User Agent Working Group (UA WG) who have pre-registered for the meeting. Participants must also have prepared for the meeting by reading background materials listed below.

It will be a two day technical meeting discussing only the User Agent Guidelines and will be an important step in the process of creating a Proposed Recommendation for the W3C. There will be no other W3C WAI working group meeting at this time. The Closing the Gap (CTG) Conference was chosen to assist in bringing assistive technology developers into the UA guideline process.

Hotel:

W3C/WAI has reserved a block of guest/sleeping rooms at the Hotel Sofitel, where the WAI UA WG meeting will be held, for the nights of Saturday October 24, Sunday October 25, and Monday October 26.  The cut-off date for the room rate of $109 is October 9th. Please make your reservations at the Hotel Sofitel, under the room block "W3C/WAI."

*NOTE: As of August 27, the "W3C/WAI" room block is not yet activated in the hotel's registration system.  You can either wait a few days to book your room, or book it now under at a regular rate and call back next week to change to the W3C/WAI block.  Contact jbrewer@w3.org if any problems.

Travel note:

Minneapolis is the hub for Northwest Airlines, however as of August 28 there is still a strong possibility that Northwest will go on strike. Several other carriers fly into Minneapolis and currently have seats available.
