PICS Schemata

A PICS Schema is identified solely by a URI.

The preferred URI is a URL pointing to both a human-readable description of the schema and a machine-readable description.

Machine-readable form is a ratings service description file ("dot rat" file)

.RAT file specifies the presentation value corresponding to each transmission value

• the presentation values can be localized; automatic language translation of labels
