This page is linked to by many of the techniques in the 23 November 2005 Working Draft of "Understanding WCAG 2.0." It is used in place of those techniques that we have not had time to convert into the new format for techniques.
The 23 November 2005 Working Draft is the first Working Draft of "Understanding WCAG 2.0." This document is part of a new structure of support documents for WCAG 2.0. The Understanding WCAG 2.0 document provides essential explanations of each success criterion, as well as linking to all of the techniques for the success criterion (both those that are sufficient for meeting a success criterion and those that are advisory techniques).
Since this is a new approach, the WCAG WG was only able to complete the transformation of a handful of the techniques before the release of this draft. A few example techniques that use the new format can be found under Guideline 1.1 success criterion 1.1.1 or in "HTML Techniques for WCAG 2.0."
In future drafts, we will provide complete technique writeups for each of the sufficient techniques for each success criteria. The format we will use for the techniques is shown below.
