Corrections, Modifications, Patches, Contributions

Corrections, modifications, patches, contributions and the like from entities other than W3C-Members will not be incorporated into the W3C software distributions, documents or other publications unless accompanied by the following statement on behalf of the person submitted the materials ("The Contributor"):

W3C ( MIT, ERCIM, Keio) is hereby permitted to distribute these materials under W3C Software and Document licenses.

Furthermore:

  1. The Contributor vouches that she has all rights necessary to contribute the materials in a way that does not violate copyright, patent, and trademark rights; contractual obligations, or libel and export control regulations.
  2. The Contributor agrees that all contributed materials will be governed by the W3C Software or Document licenses.
  3. W3C will retain attribution of authorship. The W3C makes no a-priori commitment to support contributions.
