Hotel information

For any guests who will be staying at the Brookstreet hotel, Brookstreet says they are able to offer their Best Available Rate of $199 for their Deluxe King or Deluxe Double Queen rooms. Daily parking is available but will be charged to each guest.

There is a Holiday Inn in Kanata which would require a 5-10 minute taxi ride.

There are many downtown hotels which would be a 20-30 minute car ride or 1.5 hour car ride to the meeting hotel.

Getting around

Kanata is a suburb of Ottawa. Being North America, it is recommended that a car is rented if you are not going to stay at a Kanata hotel. Public transportation is less than ideal. Most night life and restaurants are downtown so it will be useful to have at least a 4:1 car ratio amoung the group.

Electricity

Electricity in Canada is 120 Volts, flat blase plug, same as the U.S.

Currency

Currency is in Canadian dollars eh. See currency converter for current conversion rates.
