This report describes the implementation status of SVG Tiny 1.2 at the date of publication. It is expected to be updated during the Candidate Recommendation phase.
SVG Tiny 1.2 viewers
The SVG WG is aware of three commercial implementations of SVG Tiny which each cover a substantial proportion of the specification:
- Abbra Rainbow
- BitFlash SVG Tiny Player
- Ikivo Multimedia SVG Player
and other implementations which are at an earlier stage. The three commercial implementations are under active development and are expected to be feature complete by the end of the CR period. Additional implementations are expected to start or to mature during the CR period.
SVG Tiny 1.2 Authoring Tools
There are at least two authoring tools for SVG Tiny 1.2 that the WG is aware of:
Test Suite
The SVG Tiny 1.2 testsuite will be composed of:
- SVG 1.1 tests, converted to SVG Tiny 1.2
- Test contributions from implementors,converted to the SVG WG test format
- Additional tests created as required based on an analysis of test coverage of the specification.
The SVG Working group plans to conduct interoperability tests at its next face to face meeting.
CR exit criteria
The proposed CR exit criteria are the same as for SVG Tiny 1.1: a minimum of two implementations passing each test in the test suite,of which at least one must be running on a mobile platform.
