This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
In the HTMLInputElement IDL, the autocomplete attribute is referenced as a boolean attribute but the autocomplete attribute description [1] describes it as an enumerated attribute. An enumerated attribute should be represented as a DOMString attribute in the IDL. Moreover, the autocomplete attribute can't be a boolean attribute because there is a 'default' string value. This bug is similar to bug 9486, about the form element autocomplete attribute. [1] http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/forms.html#attr-input-autocomplete
