I have a page that use charset koi8-r. If there is line that have characters with code > 0x80 and it has an error, then error report correctly, column reported correctly, but position where error was detected points to a wrong place I made a special page (http://shap.homedns.org/validate.html ) to demonstrate it so check http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://shap.homedns.org/validate.html
Thanks for the report; this is a more or less known limitation of our current character encoding handling. A possible fix for this issue is scheduled for a future version (exact timing is still very uncertain; don't expect it any time soon). Meanwhile, may we include this page in our test suite to make it easier to verify the status of this issue in the future?
Hi Danil, thanks for your report. I've fixed this issue in HEAD, http://qa-dev.w3.org/wmvs/HEAD/check?uri=http://shap.homedns.org/validate.html
