Description Helder Magalh 2010-02-16 11:55:21 UTC
Amaya currently doesn't bind the "F1" key to "Help". This is a commonly used/accepted/expected shortcut for bringing up help, AFAIK not Windows-centric (I've seen it it Linux as well).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Amaya;
2. Press "F1".

Expected results:
Amaya would open the user manual or a generic help page.

Actual results:
Amaya does nothing.

Additional information:
"F1" key action should do the same as "Help"->"Amaya Help...". I'm convinced this only requires registering the key shortcut in this menu entry. :-)

Hello Helder,

This shortcut has been added in the next release for the three platform.
If you want to add this feature in you current windows version, you can modify the shortcuts list. This file is at:
C:\Program Files\Amaya\config\amaya.kb where Amaya is the repertory where Amaya has been installed
With a text editor, add the line:
<Key>F1:        HelpIndex()
near the definition of F2 key for instance.
Make a copy of this file before to make the modification in case of error.

Thanks,
Laurent Carcone
