In "5.8.2 Custom scheme and content handlers": "url The URL of the page that will handle the requests." Actually, it's a template from which the URI will be built. (speaking of which, it might be a good idea to use the {} syntax that people may know from URI templates)

It's not clear what you mean regarding URI templates. What would the syntax be? %s is a very commonly used syntax for this kind of thing, so I figured people would be familiar with it already.
