Checked in as WHATWG revision r4479.
Check-in comment: Avoid requiring that the user be notified of something, since that's a UI issue.

     <p>Any uncaught exceptions thrown or errors caused by this
- function must be reported to the user immediately after the error
+ function may be reported to the user immediately after the error
     that the function was called for, without using the <span
     title="report the error">report an error</span> algorithm
     again.</p>

This seems to make it's conforming to use the report an error algorithm again. It should probably say that the algorithm must not run again.

Change Description: see diff given below
Rationale: Well spotted. Please reopen if the fix is inadequate; I think I made it make sense, but this is a bit subtle.

Checked in as WHATWG revision r4760.
Check-in comment: Fix up a recent change that accidentally turned an implied 'must' into an implied 'may'.
