When I try to start Amaya, it crash on start. In the command line I see following information: == Start == (amaya_bin:15770): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_colormap: assertion `!GTK_WIDGET_REALIZED (widget)' failed The program 'amaya_bin' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 8053 error_code 8 request_code 143 minor_code 5) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) == End == After running it with --sync param I got following error: == Start == (amaya_bin:16235): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_set_colormap: assertion `!GTK_WIDGET_REALIZED (widget)' failed The program 'amaya_bin' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. I need more information to detect the problem: What is your platform Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.? amd64 or i386? What is the Amaya version: 11.2 or 11.3-pre?
> It seems a GTK problem. > I need more information to detect the problem: > What is your platform Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.? amd64 or i386? > What is the Amaya version: 11.2 or 11.3-pre? I'm using it on Ubuntu 8.10 (I'm still waiting that Ubuntu 9.10 get delivered to me). About the Amaya version I'm not quite sure. I had installed it after repository update.
