It would be nice if it was more clear that besides updating this also covers the initial download. It would be nice if that was made more explicit. Changing "update" to "caching" in the name of the algorithm would also help to indicate that it is more generic. The repeating of the word "cache" seems less bad than the incorrect name it has now.
